FEM a physical body have infinite number of elements that leads to infinite degree of freedom.therefore it become essential to get an approximate finite number of element to get conversable materices. 3. there are four steps to perform a CAE on a body 4. prepration of model : generate 3D/2d/1D model of a body being carried out cae 5.idealization of model : removal of features of body that may be led to solver conversion issue or precision of result. 6.FEM : genetration of mesh and assigning material property. 7. solution : applying boundary and load conditions and the type of numerical method you are interested to perform the analysis. 8.Result: collection and interpretation of results.
