NX CAE
1. NX CAE is a module delveloped by Seimens that is used to carry out engineering numerical analysis of a body.
2. FEM a physical body have infinite number of elements that leads to infinite degree of freedom.therefore it become essential to get an approximate finite number of element to get conversable materices.
3. there are four steps to perform a CAE on a body
4. prepration of model : generate 3D/2d/1D model of a body being carried out cae
5.idealization of model : removal of features of body that may be led to solver conversion issue or precision of result.
6.FEM : genetration of mesh and assigning material property.
7. solution : applying boundary and load conditions and the type of numerical method you are interested to perform the analysis.
8.Result: collection and interpretation of results.
Prepration of idealized part for FEA in NX CAE
to make a model ready for mesh generation one should create a idealized part. Idealization of a part is important to make a model ready for generation good quality of meshes without changing original model profile.
NX provide a varity of tools to modify idealized part like syncronous modeling tools, move face, coplanner, trim, sew etc. midsurface is one of them that is augmented mesh quality.
Midsurface Generation of a Body : in NX CAE two ways of mesh generation for a solid body either can create 3D mesh or by opting 2D mesh usually thin shell surfaces are genetrated fom body profile.2D mesh generation is a effient for conversion of a solution to a precision by opting fine mesh form selection box. solving problem with midsurface is time saving as well gurentee of conversion solution.
Creation of Mesh in NX CAE module:
FE model have a geometry is in form of polygon that's mean that material or other parametries assigned to polygon in FE model that is associativity with idealized part that means if there is any changes applied to idealized part will be updated to polygon geometry itself.
When FE model is activated for applying parameters there is a collector for individual polygon that can have type of element, material property as designed by user for model being prepared for simulation.

1. 0D collector element like point mass called scaler elements.
2. 1D collector elements on a edge, line, property like pbeam and parameters of beam.
